Enjoy the perfect getaway in our quiet log cabin located only about 10 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and even closer to the entrance of Acadia National Park. Our well-appointed home features a spacious living room, bright kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths.
Experience true Maine living in our newly furnished cabin, perfectly nestled between the dense trees. As you drive up to our property on a nicely paved driveway, you are greeted by a welcoming farmer's porch. The main floor includes the living room, fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a full bath.
The lower level is a daylight walk-out basement (newly finished!) that includes the master bedroom with a shower. This lower level remains very cool during the summer, and each room throughout the house includes ceiling fans. Our cabin also features basic cable TV in both the living room and master bedroom, a grill, free wireless high-speed Internet access throughout the whole house, as well as a new washer/dryer.
Acadia National Park is on Mount Desert Island off the coast of Maine, five hours northeast of Boston. Acadia National Park encompasses over 6,000 acres and covers two-thirds of Mount Desert Island. Acadia was established in 1916 from the generous land donations of several wealthy individuals including John D Rockefeller Jr. Their desire was to save this beautiful area in its pristine condition for all to enjoy for centuries to come.
Mount Desert Island is the largest island off the coast of Maine. Mount Desert Island is home to many beautiful communities including Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Mount Desert, Northeast Harbor, Tremont, Bass Harbor as well as other smaller communities. Although it is only a short causeway to access the island, it feels like another world as you drive into the scenery of this amazing area.
